President Museveni set to meet new MPs

President Museveni is set to address the newly elected NRM Members of Parliament tomorrow 15th April 2021, who are already gathered at National Leadership Institute in Kyankwanzi.

The President will be lecturing the MPs on the NRM ideology, core governance and the mission of the NRM party.

The retreat to Kyankwanzi has always been there for all MP elects of the ruling NRM government but this time due to unfinished business in the House only newly elected MPs have attended the retreat.

MPs query Shs. 490 billion for parish model project

The budget Committee questioned the government’s planned expenditure of Ugx. 490 billion on the new parish model project which is meant to eradicate poverty among 68% of the households around the country.

Minister of Finance, Matia Kasaija appeared before the committee to defend the budget estimates for the Financial Year 2021/2022 but the MPs still decline to approve the budget until the procedure for selecting the beneficiaries and the full list of beneficiaries per parish is presented by the minister.

Karamoja Cluster Project (KCP)

We initiated a project among the Ateker communities straddling Uganda’s borders with Kenya, South Sudan and Ethiopia to spread a message of peace and harmonious co-existence through theatre, music and sports. We set out to do the unthinkable: Bring about camaraderie, companionship and stable relationships among the Karimojong, Turkana, West Pokot and  Sabiny communities
