THE OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF CIMIC:
To strengthen civil-military co-operation in Karamoja for sustained peace and security in the region.

THE SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES ARE:
1) To undertake sustained public mobilization campaign, information sharing, education and consensus building on peace and security among the civil population in Karamoja and neighboring regions (through Radio FM, Kraal / community Dialogues on peace, security and rule of law).
2) To carry out human rights training of the soldiers of UPDF 3rd Division that undertake actual
disarmament process.

3) To provide support towards the effective operation of the Civil-Military Co-operation Centres (CMCCs)
in Kaabong, Moroto, Kotido and Nakapiripirit Districts.
4) To undertake community conciliation projects as a confidence-building measure between the military
and civil population in Karamoja.
